The Analysis of Phonological Process on the English Consonant Sounds of Balinese EFL Students' Pronunciation

Abstract. This phonological analysis investigated the production of English consonant sounds produced by Balinese EFL students’ who speak an idiosyncratic native language as main phenomena and examined rules represented descriptively qualitatively. The data were gathered through digital recording observed identifying pronunciation note taking technique. study was supported theories regarding proposed Odden (2013) Hayes (2008). Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary used a standard form American to compare students. result shows that errors in two ways rules: assimilation deletion. First, occurred three positions word different sounds: [z], [ð] [?].
